Letter, 1775 September 16.

Letter, although unaddressed, probably to Andrew Adams. Pierce describes recent developments in the war. He discusses the large numbers of sick and dismissed soldiers who were in Albany, N.Y. with no provisions or other equipment. Pierce also discusses General Richard Montgomery's actions toward Canada. Montgomery planned to take St. Johns with the aid of the French.
